About Us
Fort Berthold
Development Corporation (FBDC) is located in New Town,
ND on the Ft. Berthold Indian Reservation. FBDC also has offices
located in Bismarck, ND and Germantown, MD. The Ft. Berthold
Indian Reservation consists of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nations and is known as the Three
Affiliated Tribes.
In 1995, the Three Affiliated Tribes discovered opportunities
in the construction-industry on the Ft. Berthold Indian Reservation.
This new area created noteworthy employment for constructing
houses and commercial structures for the Tribe and Tribal
members who could then obtain meaningful and fulfilling work
in the area. This opportunity not only filled a niche in the
construction industry related business but assured the tribe
and its members of the quality and commitment by the Fort
Berthold Development Corporation.
FBDC has successfully met the Small Business Administrations
requirements to become a certified 8(A) Business on April
11, 2000. FBDC is Woman owned, Veteran owned and a Small Disadvantaged
Business. FBDC received HUB Zone certification on April 12,
2000 and is an authorized WedgCor Inc, dealer in western North
Dakota, which allows us to offer pre-engineered steel buildings.
FBDC is looking forward to a successful future and the many
opportunities our credentials and certifications will bring
to the Corporation.
FBDC has established a firm foundation in the construction
business on the Ft. Berthold Indian Reservation and in the
Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. FBDC is leading
the way by extending their service and commitment and expanding
beyond the boundary of the reservation. FBDC just outside
of Washington, DC (Germantown, MD). This location positions
FBDC to provide expert project site management, general contracting
and subcontracting services to organizations in the metropolitan
area and extended territories.
